World of Outlaws Welcomes Drydene as Official Motor Oil and Official DEF

CONCORD, NC — Nov. 1, 2018 — The World of Outlaws announced today a partnership with Drydene Performance Products declaring them the Official Motor Oil and Official Diesel Exhaust Fuel (DEF) of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car and Late Model Series.

The Drydene brand has been a commercial and automotive product staple in the mid-Atlantic region dating back to the 19th century. The brand offers a complete product lineup of lubricants, from engine, transmission, and hydraulic oils, to greases, gear lubricants and DEF.

“We’re excited to partner with another strong heritage brand,” said World of Outlaws CMO Ben Geisler. “Drydene has an excellent product line that is used by consumers, as well as customers in the transportation, construction and automotive sectors, many of whom support dirt track teams across the country. They have identified the World of Outlaws as their motorsports platform of choice and we couldn’t be more excited to have them on board.”

In addition to the Official Motor Oil and Official DEF designations, the multi-year partnership will include contingency awards, a special discount program for teams and additional incentives for drivers, while providing Drydene the opportunity to promote their full breadth of lubricant products.

“The World of Outlaws is an excellent platform for Drydene, fitting in perfectly with our recent motorsports initiatives,” said Dave Klinger, President of Drydene Performance Products. “Drydene values passion and hard work, and that’s something both World of Outlaws’ series, and all of the teams involved, exemplify every day. We’re excited to be a part of that and to engage with the racers, engine builders and fans looking for superior performance products.”

In conjunction with the World of Outlaws partnership, Drydene is also expanding its team sponsorship with Shark Racing. This year, Logan Schuchart carried the Drydene lubricants brand mark on his Shark Racing No. 1s. In 2019, Drydene will back the entire Shark Racing team, adding Jacob Allen’s 1a to the mix, along with team owner and Sprint Car Series veteran Bobby Allen.

American owned and operated, Drydene Performance Products is headquartered in Jonestown, Pennsylvania, the heart of Sprint Car country, where Allen and the Shark Racing team got their start.

DRYDENE PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS INKS MULTI-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH SHARK RACING

DRYDENE PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS INKS MULTI-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH SHARK RACING
Automotive, Commercial and Industrial Lubricants Manufacturer to Serve as Primary Sponsor
For Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen in World of Outlaws Competition

CONCORD, North Carolina (Nov. 1, 2018) – Drydene Performance Products, the makers of automotive, commercial and industrial lubricants, announced today a multi-year agreement with Shark Racing to serve as the primary sponsor for drivers Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen to compete in the World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

Drydene served as a co-primary sponsor with Schuchart on his Shark Racing No. 1s machine for a majority of the 2018 campaign and is expanding their relationship in 2019 and 2020 to both cars owned by Sprint car Hall of Famer and one of the original Outlaws Bobby Allen. Headquartered in Jonestown, Pennsylvania, Drydene Performance Products also announced today a multi-year partnership with the World of Outlaws to become the Official Motor Oil and the Official Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car and Late Model Series beginning in 2019.

“Drydene is all in, and these partnerships underscore our commitment to Shark Racing, the World of Outlaws’ series, and race fans throughout the United States,” said Dave Klinger, President of Drydene Performance Products. “Successful partnerships are mutually beneficial, and we recognize the growth Shark Racing has demonstrated during their first five years competing in the World of Outlaws. Drydene got a firsthand look this year while teaming up with Logan (Schuchart) for most of the 2018 season. He’s a rising star in this sport and we’re excited to align with him as he chases his dream of becoming a World of Outlaws champion. In addition, seeing talent develop is very important to us and we are thrilled to be able to expand our partnership with Shark Racing and add Jacob Allen to Team Drydene. Two drivers and two cars, both carrying the Drydene brand while chasing wins in “The Greatest Show on Dirt”, and all in front of the most passionate fans across the country… what a great way to build the Drydene brand.”

Schuchart is excited to continue carrying the Drydene brand into the future after a solid beginning to the partnership this season that included the Hanover, Pennsylvania native earning Drydene its first World of Outlaws triumph in August winning the Ironman 55. Wins during the prestigious Knoxville Nationals and later in the season in Fulton, New York also highlighted a campaign that continued his ascent in Sprint car racing’s premiere series. Entering the final weekend of competition, he is tied for seventh in overall wins, ranks fifth in top-five finishes, leads all drivers with seven fast qualifier awards and holds down the sixth position in the championship standings. Accomplishments he hopes to surpass next season driving the Drydene No. 1s.

“The Drydene relationship has been incredible and we’re just getting started,” said Schuchart, grandson of Bobby Allen. “Our goal is to become a World of Outlaws champion. Trying to do that with a company led by people like Dave Klinger that has passion for being the best is something I just can’t describe. I was ready to run through a brick wall the first time I heard Dave speak. Partnering with Drydene and racing with the World of Outlaws for years to come has all of us really excited. The future is really bright and we’re ready to get the job done.”

In the midst of completing a career-best season, Shark Racing’s Jacob Allen becomes the newest member of Team Drydene. The 24-year-old turned the corner this season and became a consistent threat starting in June. A 28-race stretch during the middle of the season elevated his status on the tour thanks to Allen leading laps in five races, finishing second four times and qualifying for both the Kings Royal and Knoxville (Iowa) Nationals A-Main fields. The experience gained along with the opportunity to represent Drydene in more than 90 nights of racing next season and beyond has Allen poised to make another big jump in the series standings.

“Following in my dad’s footsteps and racing with the Outlaws has been something I hoped I could do, but this year I really felt like I belonged and had a legitimate shot at competing for wins,” said Allen. “Now to join Team Drydene and carry their brand and products on the Shark Racing 1a next year is such a big deal for me. The game just got better for sure.”

For Shark Racing, the partnership with Drydene solidifies the team’s ability to continue its climb in the World of Outlaws hierarchy. From their initial season in 2014 through 2018, the growth curve has been steadily climbing to the point where Shark Racing cars were in contention for wins on a regular basis this season and with the partnership with Drydene Performance Products, owner Bobby Allen is poised to push his two drivers and the team to new heights.

“I only know one way to race and that’s to try to do everything I can to beat the competition,” admitted Allen, a former World Karting Champion and winner of the 1990 Knoxville Nationals. “Being around people like Dave Klinger at Drydene has me so pumped up to get to the track. Drydene’s entire organization has a passion to win and be the best, and that’s the kind of energy we want to be surrounded by. We are looking forward to having a lot of success in the future.”

American owned and operated, Drydene Performance Products offers a complete line of automotive, commercial and industrial lubricants including engine oils, diesel exhaust fluid, transmission fluids, grease and hydraulic & gear oils. Drydene products are built with ALL Technology®, Advanced Lubricity Life chemistry, to meet and exceed today’s modern automotive, heavy duty and industrial needs.

WILL RODGERS TO RACE FOR KEN SCHRADER’S ARCA RACING TEAM WITH DRYDENE OIL

CONCORD, N.C. (January 12, 2018) – Will Rodgers, a two-time NASCAR K&N Pro Series winner will drive for Ken Schrader Racing (KSR) in the 2018 ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) Racing Series in select races starting with the February 10 Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida. Ken Schrader Racing is the defending ARCA Racing Series Championship team and will field two race cars in 2018.

The multiple race sponsorship is the first for Drydene Performance Products in stock car racing, commencing with the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

“I, along with everyone at Drydene Performance Products, am honored and extremely excited to team with an incredible young driver like Will Rodgers, and industry icon Ken Schrader. Will and Ken embolden all the values and performance that Drydene represents. I couldn’t think of two better partners, or a better venue than Daytona, to launch our brand on a national scale,” said Dave Klinger, president of Drydene Performance Products. “I think Drydene, Will Rodgers and KSR will be a winning formula. We are hoping to see our team in victory lane,” Klinger continued enthusiastically.

“We’re excited to welcome Will Rodgers and the Drydene brand to Ken Schrader Racing. Will is coming off a successful 2017 season with two NASCAR K & N Pro Series wins. Having Will with us for select ARCA races brings a new perspective to the team. He has a great attitude and talent behind the wheel. I look forward to Will and Brandon Grosso working together on the track!” said Ken Schrader.

Rodgers, born in Maui, Hawaii in 1994, will test this weekend at Daytona International Speedway in a No. 52 KSR Ford and it will be his first visit to the historic superspeedway.

“I am thankful for this newly formed relationship with Drydene. Becoming a part of its brand in the market place is a special thing for me. The program that we have constructed with Ken Schrader Racing in the ARCA Racing Series coupled with our social media campaigns, will find great success on and off the track. Drydene’s brand is all about putting its customers first, its heritage while providing the best service possible. I believe we will represent all of those brand attributes well,” said Rodgers.

Rodgers finished fifth in the 2017 NASCAR K & N Pro Series West Points Championship and is the 2015 Mazda Sports Car Champion.

WILL RODGERS PREPPED FOR DAYTONA ARCA SERIES DEBUT

CONCORD, N.C. (February 7, 2018) – Will Rodgers, a two-time NASCAR K & N Pro Series winner is prepped and ready to drive for Ken Schrader Racing (KSR) in the ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) Racing Series opening event this Saturday, February 10 in the Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida. Ken Schrader Racing is the defending ARCA Racing Series Championship team and will field two race cars in 2018.

Rodgers, born in Maui, Hawaii in 1994, tested last month at Daytona International Speedway in a No. 52 KSR Ford, and learned about the 2.5-mile historic superspeedway from team owner Kenny Schrader, crew chief Donnie Richeson and defending Champion Austin Theriault.

“Saturday night will be the first time that I race on an oval larger than a mile. This is a big step for my racing development. Superspeedway races are unpredictable, but I am confident in the No. 52 Ford and team behind me. KSR has had great success at Daytona and I believe that will shorten the learning curve. Ultimately, I am very excited to represent Drydene and put on the best performance possible for them,” said Rodgers.

“Being a part of a historic venue like Daytona, to launch our brand on a national scale with live television and fanatic, loyal fans is awesome,” said Dave Klinger, president of Drydene Performance Products. “I think Drydene, Will Rodgers and KSR will be a winning formula. CONCORD, N.C. (Jan. 15, 2018) – Will Rodgers, a two-time NASCAR K&N Pro Series winner, will drive for Ken Schrader Racing (KSR) in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards in select races in 2018, starting with the Feb. 10 Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire at Daytona Int’l Speedway. KSR, the defending national championship team, has plans to field two cars this year.

Rodgers, in the No. 52 KSR-Drydene Performance Products Ford, was also impressive in open testing over the weekend at Daytona, coming in seventh fastest overall among 62 drivers who posted time and speed. Rodgers, born in Maui, Hawaii in 1994, took his first laps at the historic superspeedway in preparation for the race.

“First of all, it was a unique experience,” said Rodgers. “I had never been on a track more than a mile long…that was an oval anyway. It was a little more demanding than I thought. You have to put a little bit more wheel on it to keep it where you want.”

Rodgers also said that he was glad he had the chance to test ahead of the race.

“If I hadn’t had those test days, it would not have helped my case for the race. I found out the cars move around a bit…you had to pay attention to manipulate the car as to not get in a bad spot. It was very helpful to learn what the car feels like in a large pack. It was kind of like getting thrown to the wolves. I’m sure glad I got the chance to test.”

Rodgers is also thankful for his new sponsor, Drydene Performance Products, which appeared on the hood.

“I am thankful for this newly-formed relationship with Drydene,” said Rodgers. “Becoming a part of its brand in the market place is a special thing for me. The program that we have constructed with Ken Schrader Racing in the ARCA Racing Series coupled with our social media campaigns, will find great success on and off the track. I couldn’t think of two better partners, or a better venue than Daytona to launch our brand on a national scale. I think Drydene, Will Rodgers and KSR will be a winning formula. Schrader’s pretty happy about the whole thing too.

“We’re excited to welcome Will Rodgers and the Drydene brand to Ken Schrader Racing,” said Schrader. “Will is coming off a successful 2017 season with two NASCAR K&N Pro Series wins. Having Will with us for select ARCA races brings a new perspective to the team. He has a great attitude and talent behind the wheel. I look forward to Will and Brandon Grosso working together on the track.”

Rodgers finished fifth in the 2017 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Points championship and is the 2015 Mazda Sports Car Champion. His love for racing was born in his home state of Hawaii.

“I was born on the island of Maui,” Rodgers said. “Collectively, I spent about eight years on the island when I was growing up. I actually started my racing career there. I was 8 years old in 2004…there was a little go-kart track in the middle of the island. A year after that, I won my first championship and it snowballed ever since.”

WILL RODGERS GEARS UP FOR GENERAL TIRE #ANYWHEREISPOSSIBLE200

CONCORD, N.C. (May 30, 2018) – Will Rodgers, a two-time NASCAR K&N Pro Series winner and new member of the NASCAR Next program is looking to continue his momentum from an eighth-place finish in last Thursday’s General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Rodgers, born in Maui, Hawaii in 1994, will compete in this Friday’s ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible200 at Pocono Raceway; his first visit to the historic raceway.

Pocono Raceway, also known as The Tricky Triangle, first opened in 1968. Conducting its first ARCA Racing Series event on the three-quarter mile oval in 1969, the series endured a fourteen-year hiatus before returning to the 2.5-mile triangle in 1983. Posting speeds close to 200 MPH into the first turn, Pocono Raceway’s long straightaways and tight turns make the track a unique character for drivers to conquer.

“I’m pumped up to be heading to Pocono Raceway this weekend in my No. 52 Drydene Performance Products Ford for Ken Schrader Racing,” said Rodgers. “From what I’ve heard, Pocono Raceway has characteristics much like a road course – that really excites me. I really hope to improve upon our eighth-place run in Charlotte.”

“Racing at Pocono Raceway is a tremendous opportunity for Drydene to showcase our brand. We are super excited to be here in our backyard to interact with our customers, employees and our loyal and growing fan base,” said Dave Klinger, president of Drydene Performance Products. “I’m confident that Will Rodgers and KSR will be very competitive and our hope is that we will be celebrating a great finish Friday night.”

Drydene Performance Products Expands Its Sponsorship of Logan Schuchart and Shark Racing

JONESTOWN, PA (June 6, 2018) – Drydene Performance Products, a well-respected automotive, commercial, heavy duty and industrial lubricant brand, announced today it is increasing its partnership with World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Sprint Car Series standout Logan Schuchart and Shark Racing.

After an initial sponsorship run over five recent races, the Drydene partnership with Schuchart and Shark Racing is expanding to include the remaining World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series races through the end of the season. The Shark Racing No. 1s will carry the Drydene Lubricants brand mark in prominent positions on both sideboards of the top wing and the full center section of the top wing.

“These are exciting times for all of us at Drydene Performance Products and partnering with a rising star like Logan Schuchart and his legendary grandfather Bobby Allen adds to it,” said Dave Klinger, President of Drydene Performance Products. “A passion for racing and hard work is something Drydene values, and there is no better example of hard work than Logan and the Shark Racing team. In addition, Sprint car racing is an excellent platform for Drydene and works seamlessly with our recent motorsports initiatives including a primary sponsorship with Will Rogers and Kenny Schrader in the ARCA Series.”

Coming off of their recent announcement of three additional races with Will Rodgers and Ken Schrader Racing in the ARCA series, Drydene’s increased commitment to Schuchart and Shark Racing was a natural progression for the brand.

“I’m excited to continue this partnership with Drydene for the rest of the season,” said Schuchart. “Drydene is an unbelievable brand with a strong heritage, and the company has always followed a customer-first philosophy while providing great service for 125 years. We are looking forward to carrying Drydene with us as we continue to chase success with the World of Outlaws.”

“I’m blown away to say the least, but so happy about this relationship,” Allen said. “I came up to Drydene’s primary market many, many years ago because Sprint car racing in Central Pennsylvania was known as the best place in the world to race. It was certainly true and led to a really successful career for me driving. Now I’m living out a dream of racing with my grandson (Logan) and my son (Jacob Allen) all the across the country. We’ve come a long way and now being able to represent Drydene while racing is beyond words to me. I can’t stop smiling. We’re going to take them for one heckuva ride.”

Drydene Performance Products, originally started in Baltimore, Maryland, is now headquartered in Jonestown, Pennsylvania. Drydene has been a commercial and automotive product staple in the mid-Atlantic region dating back to the 19th century. The brand’s product lineup includes engine, transmission and hydraulic oils, as well as greases, gear lubricants and DEF, along with other Functional Fluids.
