Drydene Performance Products Announces Scott Bloomquist Racing Sponsorship
Indianapolis, Indiana (December 12, 2019): Drydene Performance Products announced a major sponsorship agreement with Scott Bloomquist Racing (SBR) at a press conference during the PRI Trade Show in Indianapolis, Indiana. Just one week after Drydene announced the primary sponsorship of World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Rookie of the Year for 2019, Ricky Weiss, Drydene took to the stage again to add two more drivers – Scott Bloomquist and Chris Madden – to the formidable lineup of Team Drydene.
Drydene announced they have made the following multi-year commitments to SBR: primary sponsorship of Madden and the 0M Late Model Car; a primary sponsorship of Bloomquist and the 0 Late Model Car on select races and a secondary sponsorship for the remainder of each season; Drydene will be the official motor oil and Drydene Racing Formulas (DRF) will be the official racing oil of SBR and Team Zero. With Drydene’s commitment, these two high-profile drivers also return to the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series full time.
“Drydene is proud to support motorsports, and we’ve especially loved getting involved with dirt track racing,” said Dave Klinger, President of Drydene Performance Products. “These are some impressive drivers, to say the least, and we know they’ll give the Drydene brand everything they’ve got. We’re fans of the sport too, and it’s hard not to be just be incredibly excited about Team Drydene in 2020 and beyond.”
Bloomquist and Madden will return to the World of Outlaws Late Model Series full time in 2020. For Bloomquist, it’s the first time in over a decade that he has been a full-time Outlaw. Madden had been a regular championship contender on the tour in recent years before taking a break this summer.
SBR, headquartered in Mooresburg, Tennessee, is one of the most accomplished organizations in all of motorsports with over 600 victories, nine national championships, eight Late Model Dreams, and four World 100s. Team Zero, as it is known across the late model world, has a fierce reputation and even fiercer followers. Its drivers come with not just a long list of accomplishments, but a ton of passion.
Since joining SBR in early August 2019, “Smokey” Chris Madden has been on fire: winning ten times, including three of the sport’s crown jewel events (Cedar Lake’s WoO USA Nationals, Florence’s North-South 100 and Batesville’s Topless 100) and a pair of high-profile late-season races (the WoO Can-Am World Finals and Drydene Xtreme Series Blue-Gray 100). The 44-year-old Gray Court, South Carolina driver, who won last Saturday’s Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series Grinch 40 at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN, will turn his focus to a World of Outlaws championship run in 2020.
“We have something special going on here at SBR and by adding Drydene to our team we feel like we have a great shot at the 2020 championship,” said Madden, who finished second and third in the 2017 and 2018 WoO standings, respectively. “I have tremendous passion to win. You can see from the way Drydene has gotten involved in racing the past couple of years they have passion to be the best. The combination is a great recipe for success if you ask me.”
Scott Bloomquist, the most decorated Dirt Late Model driver with a following rivaled by only a few, brings more than four decades and accomplishments to Team Drydene. In 2020, he’ll chase a second World of Outlaws championship, and first since 2004, with Drydene as a major associate for his entire racing schedule and during the DIRTcar Nationals, Firecracker 100, Prairie Dirt Classic and the World Finals, he will carry the Drydene brand more prominently on his #0. The legendary driver ranks seventh all-time in WoOLMS with 32 career wins. His first came during the series’ second year of existing back in 1989 and his most recent was during the 2018 World Finals.
“Thank you to Drydene for jumping on board with us,” said Scott Bloomquist. “Chris and I know we can build on the success we already have. With Ricky part of Team Drydene too, it’s going to be fun competing against these guys to bring home another championship in 2020.”
Cody Sommer, President of Scott Bloomquist Racing, commented, “We’re grateful to Drydene and excited about this partnership. To be able to bring Scott and Chris back to the World of Outlaws with the backing of the Drydene brand is huge.”
Team Drydene and its newest drivers unveiled Madden’s #0M late model vehicle for the 2020 season.
