Team Drydene: A Proud Season Snapshot

Ahead of the 2019 Can-Am World Finals in Charlotte, we wanted to take a look back at a season that had some amazing highlights for Team Drydene, both on dirt tracks and beyond.

In 2019, Team Drydene expanded its driver base with a lineup of three full-time World of Outlaws Drivers: in the Sprint Car Series, Shark Racing’s Logan Schuchart (1S) and Jacob Allen (1A), and in the Late Model Series, Brent Larson (B1). Team Drydene stakes its name in dirt, and our drivers have delivered this season.

In regional late model competition, World of Outlaws veteran Rick Eckert carried the Drydene brand in a number of races. And a variety of other drivers also made waves on dirt tracks across the region for Team Drydene.

On October 6, Team Drydene officially entered the NASCAR realm with the inaugural Drydene 400, held at Dover International Speedway. NASCAR driver Corey LaJoie helmed the #32 Drydene Ford Mustang in the race as well. Mark your calendars for both the Drydene 32 car and the Drydene 400 in August 2020. Winning that race was Kyle Larson, who’s also competed against Team Drydene in the World of Outlaws sprint car series.

By the end of October, Team Drydene had some other notable victories and milestones:

  • Logan Schuchart has captured eight World of Outlaws wins on the season, beating his prior record for season wins of four. Logan says: ““To have a year like this. To win races with the World of Outlaws is very, very tough.  To win eight of them, it means a lot to myself. I know it means a lot to everybody else.”
  • Logan has also led twice as many laps as he did all of last season.
  • In August, Logan took the 1S from a 22nd start to a P2 finish to win the Hard Charger Award
  • Rick Eckert notched eight wins on a successful region campaign on the late model side.

So how do we feel about our team?

Take a look at Drydene President, Dave Klinger, after Logan’s second-place finish at the Kings Royal in July.

We’re proud of Team Drydene’s wins, but we’re even prouder of the attitude of each Team Drydene driver: embodying the dedication, hard work, and top performance that the brand represents.
